John Wayne Callegari, age 72, of Florida, formerly of West Haven, passed away on August 6, 2023 in Florida. He was born in New Haven, son of the late Salvatore and Phyllis Armatino Callegari Jr. John is survived by his siblings, Jo Ann Callegari, Al Callegari, and Barbara Callegari, his nephews, Anthony Minichino, A.J. Callegari and Anthony Callegari. He was also the great uncle of Luca, Nico and Ameerah Callegari. John was predeceased by his brother Salvatore Callegari III.
John, also known by many as "Johnny Cal" was a carpenter by trade. He retired from the City of West Haven, after many years of employment. He also owned and operated Johnny Cal's Home Remodeling and Johnny Cal's Snack Bar for many years.
