John Eric Capuchin, 45, of Uvalde passed away on May 13, 2024, in Bandera, Texas.

He was born on August 25, 1978, in Uvalde, Texas to Guadalupe (Ramos) and Lorenzo Capuchin, Jr.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 2 p.m.  followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. 

He is survived by his mother, Guadalupe Capuchin of Uvalde; father, Lorenzo Capuchin, Jr. of Uvalde; son, Nicolas Capuchin of Uvalde; daughter, Makayla Capuchin of Uvalde; two brothers, Thomas Capuchin and Lawrence Capuchin, III both of Uvalde; two sisters, Connie Ramirez, and Yvonne Capuchin both of California; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Sostenes Gutierrez, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Tomas and Ninfa Ramos; and paternal grandparents, Lorenzo Sr. and Marie Capuchin.

Pallbearers will be Lorenzo Capuchin, Jr., Thomas R. Capuchin, Lawrence Capuchin, Carlos Mendoza, Isaac Luna, Roy Martinez, Irvin Martinez, Oscar Ibarra, and Tomas Jaime Ramos.  

Honorary pallbearers will be Don Alejandro, Daniel Leal, and Christopher Leal.
