John was born October 5, 1942 in Guernsey County, Ohio, the son of the late Loren R and Wilma (Geisey) Casterline.
He was a retired equipment operator and mechanic. He loved to hunt and bowl and spend his free time at R&R Truck Repair.
John was preceded in death by his parents, one son Thomas Edward Casterline, one brother, Loren William Casterline, and one sister, Mary Vivian Bond.
He is survived by his wife, Karen June (Warne) Casterline, two sons, John (& Lisa) Casterline of Fillmore, IL and Matthew (& Ronda) Casterline of Cambridge, his daughter Karen Sue (& David) Dodrill of Bellaire and his sister Eva Jane (& Tom) Warner of Middlebourne and Quaker City. Also left to cherish his memory are nine grandchildren and severl great-grandchildren.
There will be no services held at this time. The family asks that donations be made in John's honor to the Guernsey County Animal Shelter, 62824 Bennett Ave Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
