Graveside service for John Cheairs, age 85, of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Bogg Cemetery in Ash, Texas. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Mr. Cheairs passed away at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehabilitation on Friday, November 1, 2024.
John Edward Cheairs was born on June 20, 1939 in Austonio, Texas to William Edward and Zelma Cheairs. After 40 years, he retired from Rockwell Manufacturing Company and Flowserv where he worked in the Tool Room.
John is survived by his son, Michael Cheairs (Christi); daughters, Kristi Petrea (Robert Dale) and Gena Jorgenson (Bobby); sister, Joyce Baker; the Love of his life, Virginia Pippin and her daughters, Trena Campbell (Jason) and Glenda Reese; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Zelma Cheairs; and sisters, Helen Tittsworth and Laura Conrad.
