John G. D'Amelio

John G. D'Amelio 57, of Franklin, passed away suddenly Tuesday January 2, 2024.
Born October 16, 1966 in Milford, a son of Marjorie A. "Margie" (Bucchanio) D'Amelio of Wrentham and the late Michael P. D'Amelio, he was a longtime resident of Franklin.
He was raised and educated in Franklin and was a graduate of Franklin High School. He then continued his education at Cape Cod Community College.
John worked in many fields, first as a sauté chef at the former Pipinelle's Restaurant, a manager at the Franklin Car Wash, and a maintenance mechanic at Maplegate Country Club. Years later he obtained his construction supervisor license and was a real estate agent for Gary Smith Realty in Mendon.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Paul R. D'Amelio of Franklin, Michael D'Amelio of Texas, uncle Ronald P. "Ronnie" Bucchanio of Franklin, niece Katie Bowman and her husband John and their children Caroline and Layla & nephew Matthew D'Amelio and his wife Brianna and their son Luca.
He was the brother of the late Peter "Knife" D'Amelio and uncle of the late Caroline D'Amelio.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass Saturday January 6th in St. Mary's Church, 1 Church Square Franklin at 12PM.
Following the Mass, family and friends are invited to 3 Restaurant 461 West Central St. Rt140, Franklin, to gather, tell stories, and celebrate John's life.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to the Franklin Food Pantry 341 West Central St. Franklin, MA 02038.
