Jessica Rose Walker of Manchester, NH passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the age of 28 after a two-year battle with Hodkin's Lymphoma.
Jessica was born on October 8, 1996, and grew up in the Souhegan Woods neighborhood in Merrimack, NH. She attended Thornton's Ferry School and James Mastricola Upper Elementary School, Nashua Catholic Junior High School and graduated High School at Sarasota Military Academy (FL). She received early acceptance to Norwich University (VT) in the Corps of Cadets program. At the time of her death, she was studying for her bachelor's degree in automotive finance from Northwood University.
Jessica was a great softball player, starting when she was 6, played through High School and was recruited to play for Norwich. She was a Catcher, relief Pitcher and an outfielder. She attended St. John Nuemann Catholic Church in Merrimack, NH and St Thomas More Catholic Church in Sarasota, FL. She was a 10-year member of Girl Scouts of America and was a part of the Regional and State championship Team in First Lego league and Robotics during elementary school.
Since 2019, Jessica was employed full time as a Senior Client Consultant for Cox Automotive's Dealertrack DMS division. This role gave her the opportunity to travel the country, make contacts and be onsite in a lead role, training Dealerships on their transition to Dealertrack DMS.
When not working, Jessica loved attending concerts, Boston Bruins hockey games, spending time with Dan, her family, close friends and her cats. She could spend hours building intricate Lego sets, was a voracious reader and loved creating her personal library. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was known for changing her hair color often. Jessica had an infectious laugh, was a true sarcastic New Englander and adored the Fall; she would countdown the days to "pumpkin spice season" and her favorite holiday was Halloween.
She is survived by the love of her life, Dan Small of Hanover, MA, mother, Kim Muirhead (Scott Dahlberg) of Boerne, TX, her father Bill Walker (April) of Arcadia, FL, her sister, Katarina (Steven Keeler) of Concord NH. Grandparents, Phil Muirhead of Nashua, NH, Fran & Dan Burbank of Mesa, AZ. She was predeceased by her grandmother, Sherry Muirhead and great grandmothers, Eleanor Muirhead and Teresa Pepe. Jessica leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, God Parents and many friends that were like family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 4 – 7pm.
A memorial service will take place at 5PM.
