Lucia "Lucy" Erminia (Arcaro) Negrone, 89, of Franklin passed away peacefully on August 20 in Countryside of Milford. Lucy married Eugene M. Negrone on June 25, 1960 and they spent 55 years together until his death in 2015.

Born in Franklin on October 31, 1935, Lucy was the daughter of the late Antonio and Erminia (Lozzi) Arcaro.

Lucy, affectionately known as "Babe" to her family loved learning and helping friends and family.

Lucy graduated Franklin High in the famous class of 1953 and then graduated from Wilfred Academy of Beauty and Culture in Boston in 1958 and later the Fazio Institute of Beauty Culture in Lawrence in 1976. In 1989 she became a Master Teacher at Aquinas Jr. College and received her certificate at The Cathedral of the Holy Cross. She also graduated from the Real estate Academy in 1983.

She established Lucy's House of Beauty in Franklin and ran that for 30 years before she decided to retire and join her husband Gene building houses.

When Lucy wasn't busy helping Gene she volunteered her time at St. Mary's Church. She taught CCD as a teacher and principle for over 20 years. She was a Eucharistic Minister, Bereavement Minister and worked at the Feast of St. Rocco's for over 40 years.

Lucy wrote the first parish cookbook called "Cooking with Love" with Fr. Raymond Benoit. Along with her friend Peter Brunelli she collected more recipes from all the St. Rocco's cookbooks. That cookbook received a certificate from Mellhenny Co. in 1992 .

She was past Pocahontas with order of Red Men Wonewak tribe of Franklin. Lucy co-chaired the Disability Committee for many years.

Lucy was a wonderful hostess and wonderful cook, hosting pool parties, cookouts and holidays with Christmas gatherings of 60 people. She delighted in decorating her home for every holiday and spoiling all the kids.

Lucy was the sister of the late Florence Colace, D. Jennie Arcaro, Angelo Arcaro, Louis Arcaro and Mario Arcaro.

Lucy is survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Lucy also leaves behind some very special friends.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 29 in St. Mary's Church at 10:00a.m.

Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, August 28 from 4-7 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the charity of one's choice.
