John Howard Mackey, 76 of Waynesville, MO, longtime Pulaski County civil engineer and surveyor, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025, in his home. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2025, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Waynesville, MO. Visitation will be held beginning at 4:00 p.m. with a celebration of life service to follow at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2025, in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Mr. Mackey is survived by his wife: Margaret Mackey of the home; daughter: MaryHelen Mackey of the home; one sister: Claire Mackey of Coxsackie, NY; two nephews: Christopher Valentino (Corinne) of Adairsville, GA and Nicholas Valentino (Deane) of Violet, LA; three great-nephews: Owen, Brayden, and Dylan; three great-nieces: Lydia, Kennedy, and Jazmin; cousin: Marcia Anderson of Kinderhook, NY; other relatives and friends. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of John Mackey to the Waynesville R-VI School Foundation and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
