Geismar, LA - A great day for John Allen Denstorff included a boat ride, fishing, hunting, time at the beach or on his houseboat, and a crawfish boil with family and friends. While he's seen his last day at his hunting camp, his friends and loved ones can hang on to memories made with John over his 68 years of life. He died Aug. 10, 2025, surrounded by his family and faithful dog, Buddy. He's survived by his wife of 43 years, Darlene; son and daughter-in-law Fred Denstorff and Reni Elewonibi; and daughter Anna Denstorff. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Agnes Denstorff; and brother, Charles Denstorff. John, born and raised in Baton Rouge, was a longtime resident of Geismar and founding member of the Bald Head Hunting Club. John will be remembered for his infectious smile, love of a good LSU football or baseball game, John Wayne movies, and willingness to help everyone he called a friend. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
