John Anthony DePinto Jr.

Girard - John Anthony DePinto Jr., 66, of Girard, passed away early Sunday morning, October 20, 2024.
John was born January 16, 1958 in Youngstown, the son of John Anthony Sr. and Helen (Korenic) DePinto and was a lifelong area resident.
He graduated from Liberty High School and then continued his education and earned his bachelor's degree in law from Youngstown State University.
John was employed for over 20 years as a paralegal working for Legal Aid until his retirement in 2002.
He was an active member of St. Rose Church where he served as an usher and alter server for many years.
John also was an active and proud member of the Knights of Columbus (K of C) Girard Council 2935 and was a Fourth-Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Bishop Franzetta Assembly # 846 where he served in various capacities. John volunteered his time helping run the fish dinners every lent, as part of the Honor Guard and by serving on the board of the President's Charity Foundation.
John will always be remembered for his generosity, smile and outgoing personality. He was a huge Cleveland Sports fan always rooting on his favorite teams the Browns and Indians/Guardians. He also enjoyed golfing, listening to music and collecting comic books. His family was always his top priority and he always looked forward to spending time with his grandson JC.
John married the love of his life, the former Michele A. Kusmirek on November 18, 1989 and they celebrated over 23 years of wonderful marriage until her passing on April 21, 2013.
John leaves behind to hold onto his precious memories his son John Joseph (Tricia) DePinto of Dayton and his beloved grandson John Cornell "IC" DePinto along with nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Michele and his pet dog Rover.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman.
There will be additional calling hours on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 9:00 am until 9:50 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio as celebrant.
Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
