John Henry Dials was born May 17, 1957 in Lamar, South Carolina, a son of Reverend George Isaiah Dials, Sr. and Blinder Rogers Dials. On Wednesday afternoon, September 11, 2024, John transitioned to his Heavenly home.
He was educated in the public schools of Darlington County and graduated from Spaulding High School in 1976. He enlisted in the United States Navy and retired honorably as a Navy Radioman. Later, he was employed at Perfection High Tech in Lamar, South Carolina. He also worked for FedEx Ground in Florence, South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend George and Blinder Dials; his sisters, Flossie Mae Dials Huggins, Betty Jean Dials, and Joretta Dials Bodison; his brothers, Time Isaiah Dials, Leroy Dials, Thomas "Bealer" Dials, Herbert "Doc" Dials, Willie Lee Dials, Marion "Sal" Dials, Franklin "Frank" Dials, Perry Lee Dials, George I. Dials, Jr., and Richard "T" Dials; his brothers-in-law, Moses J. Huggins and Leonard Henderson; his sisters-in-law, Queen Dials, Retha Dials, Connie Dials, and Mamie Lee Dials.
Surviving to cherish the memory and celebrate the life of John Henry Dials are his sisters, Mattie Henderson of Miami, FL and Grace Dials Whack of Hartsville, SC; one brother-in-law, John Bodison of Miami, FL; one uncle, Roosevelt "Pete" Rogers of Boonville, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and very special friends.
