John Michael Dietiker

John Michael Dietiker, 67, of Clyde, NC, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 4, 2022, with his loving wife of two joyful years at his side.

Michael grew up in Missouri, where he founded and pastored Victory Christian Fellowship Church. Though Michael held various careers throughout his life, his greatest joy was serving the Lord in ministry. He served as an elder for over a decade at New Covenant Church, and went on several mission trips throughout his life, building friendships around the world. Michael enjoyed music, acting, and intellectual discourse in his free time. He made each person he spoke to feel like the only one in the room, and was known by his community for his gentleness and sweet spirit.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Carolyn Dietiker. He is survived by his wife, Denise Dietiker; his children, Danielle (& Jason) Hanna, and Nathan Dietiker; six grandchildren, Autumn Hanna, Olivia Hanna, Benjamin Hanna, Silas Hanna, Mattie Dietiker, and Elias Dietiker; siblings, Suzanne (& Cleve) Sylcox, Crystal (& William) Goldkamp, Kerry (& Rosa) Dietiker, Debbie (& Mark) Gandy; and ten beloved nieces & nephews, as well as numerous close relatives.

Michael requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of his friends and loved ones to join us in celebrating his extraordinary life at New Covenant Church on Sunday, November 13th, at 4:00 pm. Reception of guests to begin at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to New Covenant Church's fund Missions General in honor of Michael.
