John D. Dodd, age 61, passed away on February 1, 2024, in Austin, Texas. He was born to the late John L. Dodd and Jeanne Dodd on September 15, 1962, in Germany. John was a certified ASE mechanic whose immense knowledge, skilled hands, and passion for cars allowed him to mentor those around him. John worked at Kwik Kar and Torqque Performance and loved his family, Mopar cars, fishing, and guitars.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sandra K. Dodd of Austin; daughter, Sarah Varner and husband Foy of Buda; daughter; Katherine Dodd of Austin; daughter; Elizabeth Dodd of Austin; brother; Chris Dodd of Round Rock; sister; Regina Grant and husband Neil of San Antonio; sister Maria Mock and husband J.C. of Mclean, VA; sister; Michelle Dodd of San Antonio; brother; Phillip Dodd and wife Julie of Keller and 17 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024, from 6:00pm-8:00 pm at Harrell Funeral Home; 100 Heritage Dr, Austin, TX 78737
Service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Harrell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ruppert Cemetery in Cheapside, Texas on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, from 2:00pm-3:00 pm
Honoring him by serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Klein, Mark Klein, Robert Bierbaum, Anthony Dodd, Jackson Kruse, John Domenic Dodd, and Rocco Dodd.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org and the American Diabetes Association at diabetes.org
