With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John "Tony" Anthony Doerk, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. Tony, born in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Edward, Doerk, Sr. and Mildred Charvat Doerk, peacefully left this world on June 24, 2024, at his residence in Simpsonville, South Carolina.
Tony was a man of unwavering dedication and loyalty. Throughout his life, he found solace in his passion for fishing and boating, spending countless hours on the water, embracing the tranquility of nature. Yet, above all else, Tony cherished his family, finding joy in the company of his beloved wife Susan; his children, John, Elizabeth, and Marc; his siblings, Karen Duirk (Ken), Mary Hirsch (Mike), Michael Duerk; and his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Norman Doerk, Jr.
Educated and accomplished, Tony achieved a Bachelor's Degree and pursued a successful career in management within the insurance industry, dedicatedly serving with Allstate. His professionalism and leadership were admired by colleagues and clients alike, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 1, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Simpsonville. Inurnment will follow in the Columbarium Garden.
His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pruitt Hospice or to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.
