John Doolin Obituary
Born Wednesday, July 24, 1985 in Dublin, Ireland, John was the son of John Doolin and Leslie McCartney.
John, known to family and friends as J, was raised in Wicklow, Ireland and graduated from Oatlands College and Dun Laoighaire Senior College with a degree in Carpentry. J lived for a time in New Zealand and Australia, before settling in New Jersey.
J would meet and marry the love of his life, Dana Tomaszewicz. the couple lived in Keansburg and started a family of their own, having two daughters.
J owned and operated Burl & Knot Custom Carpentry. He loved his job, and was proud of the work he did. J enjoyed snowboarding and hiking, and also DJing. More than anything J enjoyed being with his family and playing with his children. He was a caring man who will be missed by all those that love him.
J is survived by his beloved wife, Dana, by his cherished daughters Terra and Kaya, by his loving parents, John and Leslie, and by his caring siblings, Nigel, Brian, Lainey, Tallulah, and Indigo.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.

Jay, also known as JJ in earlier days, was a treasured childhood friend. He was a fan of the skating world and was full of energy, creativeness and a sprinkle of divilment. He was a kind, empathetic young fella who gave great hugs and brought much fun to the Coolkill gang growing up.
