John C. Dorsey passed away peacefully on Oct 1, 2025 in his home.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Ruth Dorsey, his daughters Leigha Dorsey, Casey Tross (Allen), and stepson Chauncey Huffman (Anissa), and six beautiful grandchildren, ranging in age from 31 to 3 years old.
John was preceded in death by his parents, and his sons Johnnie, Shane and Ehrin Dorsey.
He was a proud U.S. Veteran, and Colonel for the U.S. Army and an attorney for the Commonwealth of KY.
John was born in 1943 in Frederick, Maryland and was a beloved Louisville Cardinal fan for over 50 years.
He will be laid to rest in Fort Knox, KY.

Visitation will be held at Louisville Memorial Gardens East on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 11:00am until 12:00pm. Funeral service will be at 12:00PM. Burial will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025 at 10:30am at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, 2501 N Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160.
