John V. Dundon Jr.
Born to Eternal Life June 24, 2023 age 63 years. Beloved husband of 25 years to Jennifer (Nee Pilch). Loving father of Kayla (Brandon) Brekke, Jack and Mackinnley Dundon. Cherished grandpa of Lucas Brekke. Son of Gerry Dundon; son-in-law of Joanne and Jerry Pilch Brother of Lee Ann (Don) Kressin and Helen (Joe) Chanshal and Jackie Schodron. Preceded in death by his father; John Dundon, a sister; Mary Dundon and brother; Jim Dundon. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
John was a kind man always willing to lend a helping hand. He didn't need to know you to come to your aide. He spent many years in the service industry, Big Boy, Clark, a private detective, and loss prevention manager. Even after he changed careers, Nue Tool sales guy, he would step in to stop shoplifters in the act when the offender couldn't be controlled by staff, which led to his first dislocated shoulder and torn cuff. He was an avid Wisconsin sports fan of the Brewers, Packers and Bucks. His collection of sports memorabilia speaks for itself with multiple pictures of team athletes that include him. A proud Irish man, he attended Irish Fest annually to take in the sounds of Gaelic artists, his favorites being Gaelic Storm and the Willis Clan. He supported fundraisers for all sorts of causes. His biggest success was for the Parkinson's Foundation. His final act of service was donating his organs so others could continue their journey.
He cherished time spent with family and friends. Specifically rafting trips in Shawano, family vacations, annual family reunions, holidays and could always be counted on to be in attendance to celebrate a loved one. While friends and extended family were important, he was devoted to his family at home. Every time his wife had a "great" idea he was open to each adventure. Pets and chickens, sure. Take the kids on a grand adventure yes but be careful. His light heartedness was ever present, even as his health declined. He was a hands-on father, attending events, tossing a ball around, fishing, bowling and instigating tickle wars. He was proud to welcome Brandon into the family June 17 th 2023. His heart was aglow with the arrival of his grandson Lucas, whom he could not hold long enough. His passing leaves a void in our hearts and our lives, but due to his unfailing faith we have hope. We know John is in his eternal home next to Jesus and other believers.
A celebration of John's Life will take place on Saturday July 22 at Spring Creek Church N35 W22000 Capitol Drive visitation beginning at 2:00 PM until the time of service at 4:00 PM.

I had the pleasure of working with my friend JD for about 6 years. I enjoyed our conversations and the different lunches we would come up with once a week for work to keep things interesting. For Christmas he would call our vendors and have them send gifts that he would wrap for employees. He really brought the Christmas spirit and was a kind man with a good sense of humor.
