John W. Enkler
Funeral Service for John W. Enkler, 73, of Mayfield Village, will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 21, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor. Father Tom Johns to officiate. (Family and friends are asked to meet at church.)
John passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland.
Born Aug. 10, 1951, in Cleveland, John lived in Willoughby before moving to Mayfield Village over 11 years ago.
The times he cherished the most were spending time with his grandchildren, summers at the pool, and cruising the Greenway Trail in Mayfield Village. John loved his dogs and bird, Charlie. Everywhere he went, John touched so many lives in so many ways.
He was the beloved husband of Alyce (nee Joseph) Enkler; loving father of Caitlin (nee Enkler) (Jesse) Srpan; cherished "Boompa" of Caden, Reese and Logan Kovach and Amelia Srpan; brother of Marlene (Michael, dec.) Pavlus; brother-in-law of Kathryn Joseph; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Wilber J. and Pearl C. (nee McDonald) Enkler; and sisters, Wilma (Delvin, dec.) Bertermann and Gloria (Paul, dec.) Wolff.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 20, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), Willoughby.
