He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Sherry of 54 years; three children, Michael (Jill), David (Stacey), and Kyran Hoff (Phillip); five grandchildren, Brittany Allen (Luke), Lexi, Ian, Amelia, and Sophie; and two great grandchildren, Caroline and Sadie.
He taught math for 39 years, mostly at Trinity High School. His students remember his lighthearted humor and dedication to preparing them for post-secondary education. He enjoyed running, walking, reading, traveling, and being outdoors.
Memorial Visitation will be held 9-10 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023, at St. Martha Catholic Church, with his Memorial Mass to be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor or TKO Parkinson's, 2828 Klondike Lane, Louisville, KY 40218.
Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road has been entrusted with arrangements.
To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
