Michael D. Esterle, 72, of Wadsworth, Ohio passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. He was born March 1, 1949 at Lodi, Ohio to the late Michael G. and Lillian Esterle.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dennis, and sister Judy Zsarnay. He is survived by his wife Judi, son Keith (Zach), son Kurt (Jennifer) and grand-daughter Alexis.
Mike served in the Vietnam War as a proud Navy Seabee. After Vietnam, Mike was a welder in the ship yards of Lorain. In 1971 Mike changed career paths to pursue a challenging and rewarding career in Insurance which lasted over 40 years. During these years, he was also an active participant in both son's marching band years at Cloverleaf High School by serving as Band Associates President and Videographer.
By far the most enjoyable times of his life was being a grandfather and passing on his cooking and baking knowledge to his grand-daughter Alexis.
Mike also enjoyed golfing, travel, RV "Glamping" and gambling trips with his wife Judy. Mike and Judi had just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary.
Funeral services will be held at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, Ohio on Thursday, February 10, 2022. Viewing hours will be from 2-4pm and 6-7:30pm, followed by a brief service at 7:30pm. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery with Military Honors at later date when weather permits.
