Yesterday
For the last 10 months, it's been my privilege to spend a couple of hours each week visiting with John. Almost without fail, he greeted my arrival with a smile and a chuckle.
Sometimes we just talked about the events of the week, but he often shared stories about his life, his love for the Independence Valley, his work, his family, his heritage, and his love of God and country.
I'll miss him. My heart and my prayers are with John and his family today.
