John Francis Gall, 94, of Anderson, Indiana, entered into eternal rest on October 12, 2025. He was born on June 30, 1931, in Tipton, Indiana, to William and Hilda Gall. The seventh of eight children, John grew up in a close-knit family rooted in faith, hard work, and love.
In 1956, John married the love of his life, Emma, and together they built a beautiful life and family. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for eight years before returning home to dedicate himself to family and community.
John was a man of many talents and simple joys—he loved pitching horseshoes, working on cars, building things with his hands, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Known for his dependability and generous heart, John was always there when someone needed him.
A lifelong Catholic and faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church for over 60 years, John lived out his faith daily. He was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, serving with humility and devotion.
He is survived by his sons Mark Gall, Anthony Gall, Steve Gall, and Andrew Gall; and his dalmatian, Otto.
John was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Emma Gall (who passed in 2020); his parents; and his siblings Joe, Helen, Mary, Edward, Sister Laura, Gertrude, and Tom.
Visitation will take place at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 5 pm to 8 pm. A Mass Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Anderson, Indiana at 11 am with Father Tom officiating, and burial will take place following Mass at Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson, IN.
John will be remembered for his faith, his steady presence, and the quiet strength that held his family together.
