John Jason Gillette
John Jason Gillette, 42, passed away on April 7, 2023 in Melbourne, Florida.
Jason was a high school graduate of Lincoln Park Academy. He then attended I.R.S.C. and earned his AA degree. Following I.R.S.C., he attended Barry University earning his bachelor's degree in business. Jason then furthered his education by joining the police academy and later became employed by the Indian River Sheriff's Office and the Sebastian Police Department.
He led and participated in many church praise and worship teams. He was a very anointed speaker, preaching in his church, as well as leading youth groups for a period of time.
Jason enjoyed dirt bikes, motocross, hunting, and boating. He was also a very gifted guitar, bass, and saxophone player. But above all things, he was an amazing dad to his two sons, Hunter and Trace, a wonderful son, grandson, brother, and friend.
Survivors include his sons, Hunter and Trace Gillette; parents, John and Donna Gillette; sister, Jamie Barbour; brother-in-law, Perry; nephew, Jacob Barbour; nieces, Haylie and RaeLynn Barbour; grandmothers, Joyce E. Gillette and Jean Brinker; along with aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him very much.
Flowers are appreciated; however, we are asking in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the account set up at PNC Bank for his sons, Hunter and Trace. You can make a donation at any PNC bank in their names. The family would be greatly appreciative.
Services: A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 6:00 PM at The Life Center, 2900 S. Jenkins Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981.
