John Lane Girardot, age 70, of Lake City, passed away June 27, 2025 at home.
John was born September 5, 1954 in Royal Oak, Michigan.
He was united in marriage to Suzanne M. Randel on September 17, 1977 in Lake City, Michigan.
John Girardot was love. He radiated it effortlessly - through his presence, his words, his music, and his life. To know John was to know grace, kindness, warmth, and the quiet strength of someone who truly saw people. He saw the good in everyone, offering wisdom, laughter, compassion, and faith without hesitation.
A gifted storyteller and a man of deep conviction, John shared his heart through his music and his words. His talent was nothing short of extraordinary - not just for how he played, but for how he made others feel. Whether leading a song, fixing something broken, or simply sitting with someone in need, John gave of himself completely.
He was the best son, husband, brother, father, uncle, and friend anyone could ask for - steady, humble, fiercely loyal, and full of joy. His impact on those around him was immeasurable. He had a way of making you feel like you mattered, like you were safe, like you belonged.
And he was the very best Papa. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He loved each of them deeply and uniquely, and they adored him right back. One of his greatest joys was helping shape young lives with love and care.
John's life was filled with many unique and meaningful jobs - always with his hands busy and his heart all in. He was a problem solver, a hard worker, and someone who could fix just about anything, whether mechanical or emotional.
His passing leaves a hole in our hearts that cannot be filled. But his light - the love he gave so freely - lives on in each of us. His legacy is one of unconditional love, grace in action, and a life lived fully and faithfully.
We will carry him with us always.
John is survived by his wife, Suzanne M. and children, Angela B. Girardot, John D. Girardot (Sarah) and Kristen M. Girardot. He is also survived by grandchildren, Cody, Shane, Hannah, Halle, Landon, Levi, Elijah, Sage, Caden, Journey, and Jude.
His mother, Beverly Girardot and mother in-law, Barbara Randel also survive him as well as brother, Larry ( Nancy) Girardot, brothers in law, Bill Randel and Bob (Peggy) Randel, sister, Karen Girardot and sisters in law Mary Girardot and Pauline Randel and many nieces, nephews and close relatives.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Girardot, father, John L. Girardot, brothers, David and James Girardot, father in law, Frank Randel Sr. and brother in law, Frank Randel, Jr.

I truly grieve the passing of my lifelong friend John ! Becoming Friends as young boys in Royal Oak! He became another brother to me and my family adored him! We formed a Band in Jr High School and performed at parties and events in our area! JOHN was truly a musical genius and played the guitar with all of his heart! John´s voice was truly incredible! I will truly miss our 4th of July Jam sessions! John´s wife Sue was truly his world. He often told me how much he loved and cherished her companionship. he loved his children and his grandchildren very much! Fortunately, a few weeks before his passing, we had a long phone conversation about our past and present place in life! We shared our treasured past! JOHN was a beautiful man who lived life the way he wanted and with the people he loved the most! Rest in peace, brother, JOHN I will truly miss my life long loving friend May God bless the Girardot Family

John has been my friend since grade school ! We formed a band when we were in Jr high school ! He was truly part of our family! My father and my mother both loved him like a son, my brothers and sister all treated him like he was their brother! John was a hard worker and talented individual with his hands as well as his voice and musical genius! John was a beautiful man , with a heart of gold and spirit unmatched! I was the Best man at his wedding in 1977! And he truly couldn´t have found a better partner than Sue ! They both made wonderful parents and partners in their relationship! I had a touching phone conversation with John a few weeks before his passing! We talked about life and its many challenges as well as our treasured past and continued friendship! We both openly shared our love for each other! I truly feel honored that I was able to talk to my dear friend before he met his maker ! Rest in Peace my life long friend God Bless the entire family
