John Christopher Grabowski, Sr., 54, entered into eternal rest on November 11, 2025. He was born on January 22, 1971, in Blue Island, Illinois, and was raised in Warner Robins, Georgia, where he made countless lifelong friends and memories.
John was a proud graduate of Warner Robins High School, Class of 1989. During his school years, he was a passionate soccer player, competing in city leagues and traveling teams that took him across the region. Following high school, he attended Middle Georgia College, where he continued to build a strong foundation for the caring, hardworking life he would go on to lead.
After college, John worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Elberta Healthcare, where his compassion and dedication touched the lives of many. Later, he transitioned into the grocery industry, working for Kroger, Piggly Wiggly, and Food Lion.
Outside of work, John found joy in simple, meaningful things. He was an avid golfer who loved every moment spent on the course, a devoted Chicago Cubs fan, and a lifelong supporter of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish—his favorite team of all.
But above everything else in this world, John’s greatest pride, purpose, and joy came from being a father. He was the most devoted dad, dedicating every bit of his heart and energy to caring for and spending time with his beloved son. His love was unwavering and selfless—he found true happiness in helping his son thrive, sharing laughter, and creating memories together. To those who knew John, his devotion as a father was nothing short of inspiring, a reflection of the immense love and goodness that defined his life.
John was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Grabowski.
His memory will forever be treasured by his son, John Christopher Grabowski, Jr.; mother, Judith Ostrowski Grabowski; siblings, Thomas Grabowski (Angela) of Fort Valley, MaryTherese Grabowski Griffin (Bob) of Oxford, Robert Grabowski (Jenny) of Byron, David Grabowski (Vicki) of Centerville, and Joseph Grabowski of Warner Robins; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, November 14, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with a funeral service immediately following in the chapel. Afterward, John will be laid to rest privately.
