John Dale Haisty, 90, passed away Thursday evening, April 25, 2024 at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, AR. He was born November 25, 1933 on the Taylor Plantation, west of Winchester, AR to John and Grace Brown Haisty.
At an early age, he and his family moved to Tillar, AR where he graduated as Valedictorian of his class in 1951. He earned a BSE and ME degrees from Henderson State College, and worked on his Doctorate degree at the U of A Fayetteville. He was a Math Teacher, Basketball Coach, Principal and Superintendent, retiring from Bryant School System before moving to Hot Springs Village.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Grace Brown Haisty, stepson Chris Wiggam; siblings, Paul and Sherwood Haisty; Avanell Poff and Marian Stanford.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Gladden Wiggam, two daughters Becky Paneitz, Cindy Gardner, stepdaughter Contessa Boone and stepson Mac Wiggam (Heather). Grandchildren Jessica Amoso (Phil); Heather Sullivan, and step grandchildren, Devin, Alyssa and Samantha Wiggam; Whitney Ballard (Dustin); Colton Hollar, John Michael Boone, along with four great-greatgrandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday, May 11, 2024, 1:00 pm, at Woodlands Presbyterian Church, 11 Ecuestre Drive, Hot Springs Village, AR 71909, Rev. Randy Carstens, officiating with a reception to follow in Fellowship Hall. Memorials may be made to the Memorial Garden Fund in his honor. Arrangements by CedarVale Funeral Home.
