John A. Hakey

John Andrew Hakey, age 83, born June 19, 1940, passed away Saturday, June 1st, 2024, surrounded by family. He is survived by his deeply beloved wife of 55 years Carol, (nee Nahuis), dear father of Kimberly, Michelle, and John (Robyn), loving grandfather of Briana, Jacob, Jack, Jenna, Nathan, and Benjamin, great grandfather of Ella. John was a proud U.S. Army veteran. He was dedicated to his family and Catholic faith. John loved the outdoors: hunting, camping, fishing, and growing vegetables in his garden in Hinckley. As owner/operator of J.H. Autobody, John was very passionate about his lifelong career repairing vehicles, specializing in Corvettes. Mass of Christian burial at St. Victor Church, 3435 Everett Rd, Richfield, Oh. 44286 on Monday, June 10th, 2024 at 11:30am. Family will receive friends at 9:30am in the St. Victor gathering room until the time of the mass. Reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in John's name to St. Vincent de Paul - St. Victor Parish Chapter, which can be mailed to the church address above.
