With profound sadness, we announce the passing of John Lee Hanson, a creative and dedicated man who touched the lives of those around him in countless ways. John was born on May 10, 1945, in Eugene, OR, and passed away on December 12, 2025. A humble and loving soul, John's zest for life was infectious, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.

John was an Aerospace quality engineer, where his creativity and dedication were invaluable. He was a man of many talents and interests. He passionately pursued hobbies of traveling, scratch-built modeling, and wine tasting. His craftsmanship was a testament to his meticulous nature and creative spirit. The models he created were not just objects, but tangible manifestations of a mind that saw beauty in precision and detail. His love for traveling opened new horizons for him and his beloved wife, Sandra, enriching their lives with diverse cultures and experiences.

John's life was a testament to his loving nature and dedication to his family. He was a beloved husband to Sandra Hanson(Perchelli), to whom he had been married for 55 years. What mattered most to John was his wife and his family. He is survived by his wife, Sandra, nephews; Dustin (Jennifer) Roberts, Chris Bill, Andy Bill, nieces; Gabi (Drew) Ricard, Amber (Gabe) Ocaña, great-nephews; Nick Roberts, Dominic Ocaña, and great niece, Alana Ocaña. He was preceded in death by his father Dwayne Hanson, mother Amy Hanson, and sisters-in-law Debbie Ricard and Carol Drake.

We invite you to celebrate John's life by sharing your memories and photos of him on his memorial page. May his journey inspire us all, and his love continue to unite us, even in his absence. Each memory shared will serve as a comfort to his loved ones, and a testament to a life well-lived.
