John H. Hanson

John H. Hanson, Jr., 73, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025 in Gurnee, IL. He was born April 8, 1952 in Chicago, IL and had been a former resident of Park Ridge, IL, Arlington Heights, IL & Grayslake, IL, currently living in Gurnee. John received a law degree from the University of Illinois and had a long career as an attorney at Burditt & Radzius Law Firm in Chicago. He had served as president of Norwood Park senior family care and enjoyed traveling to Hilton Head Island with his family. John enjoyed playing tennis, boating and most of all was a proud supporter of his children's sports and activities throughout the years.

Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Lorraine Hanson; 2 children, Michael (Susan) Hanson & Kristin (Brian) Doherty; 4 grandchildren, Christopher & Elisabeth Hanson and Jillian & Della Doherty and by a brother, Paul (Lynne) Hanson.

A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W Park Ave. (Rt. 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave) in Libertyville.
