John was so incredibly gifted & smart, always the wittiest person in the room. I remember him as a wonderful son & a devoted, protective big brother, especially to little " Mare Kat". I´m sure Billy was waiting to play a game of pick up. My sincerest condolences to the Haupt family and may you Rest In Peace John.

Some of my best memories involve John. He was one of the funniest people I have ever met. He was also the most dominant pitcher I ever played with or against.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all those that loved John. I am very sad to hear about his passing. He was a strong dynamic person that I am happy to have known. I will always cherish the memories I had with him.

I am truly saddened. John was always kind to me, had a dry sense of humor that made you laugh out loud & was an exceptional baseball player. He will no doubt live on through those he positively influenced
