John Douglas Heidlebaugh, 61, of Johnston City, passed away at 6:29 p.m., Sunday, April 20, 2024, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.
John was born July 15, 1962, in Salem, Ohio to John and Sandra (Jackson) Heidlebaugh. John and his significant other, Kimely Gaddis, have been together for over 40 wonderful years.
John was a man who loved his country and the military. He loved his friends and family and cherished small-town values.
John is survived by his significant other Kimely Gaddis of Johnston City; children, Kristin Heidlebaugh of Johnston City, Joshua Heidlebaugh of Texas; six grandchildren, Gauge and Major Heidlebaugh, Jett Beasley all of Johnston City, Hailey, Koahyim, Keahilani Heidlebaugh all of Texas; one great granddaughter, Lana Bell of Texas; one brother, Harold "Jeff" Heidlebaugh of Mattoon, IL; one sister, Leeta (Steve) Tripp of Pittsburg, IL; one brother in law, Mike Gaddis of Johnston City; one uncle and aunt, Don (Johnadine) Avis; cousin Lori Alvis and family all of Mattoon, IL; Harold Jackson and family; Jeff Jacson and family; Renee Moore and family; Christi Monk and family; Lori Ashworth and family, and his beloved dog, Cash.
John was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Cecil Jackson, Leeta and Oscar Beals and one niece, Nichole Steh.
A Celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
