John Harry Huttenhoff

(February 9, 1938 – September 23, 2025)

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for John Huttenhoff on September 26 at 10:30am at St. Irene's Catholic Church, Warrenville, IL. Visitation at 9:30am.

John Huttenhoff, 87, of Naperville, IL passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025.

Born in 1938 in Ft. Worth, TX, John was the son of Albert and Lillian Huttenhoff. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Electrical Engineering

John worked as an engineer for decades at ATT Bell Labs before retiring. He was a devoted husband, avid hiker and gardener and dedicated to his faith.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jacqueline Huttenhoff; his children, John (Linda) Huttenhoff, Paul (Beth) Huttenhoff, Kevin (Jackie) Huttenhoff and Kathleen (dec. Paul) Grzybek; and his nine grandchildren and15 great grandchildren and twin brother Paul(Lupe) Huttenhoff . He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Rose Mary Huttenhoff, Fran Vondrasek, Albert 'Bud' Huttenhoff,and Thomas Huttenhoff

"I want to be remembered as loving my wife and family and I tried to lead a good life. I enjoyed my 29 years at Bells Labs and all the friends I worked with. I enjoyed my Boy Scout adventures as a kid, a father, and a grandfather. I look forward to meeting my creator." -John Huttenhoff

There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed we are with all the support and care John received from the Monarch at Home Team, his Drs and nurses and Hospice Team at Edward's Hospital.
