John Iamele Obituary

Rochester – On May 21, 2025, John passed away suddenly at the age of 82. He is predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Frieda Iamele.
John is survived by his children: Kurt (Kim) Iamele, Kerri (David Cook) Iamele, and Kristie (Luke) Hasselstrom; and their mother, Kathleen (Al) Sorrese. He was a proud grandfather to Kaia Iamele and Preston Phan (children of Kurt and Kim); Isabella Iamele (daughter of Kerri and David); Devan, Danyell, and Darren Scott; and Lukas, Layden, Levin, and Lowen Hasselstrom (children of Kristie).
He is also survived by his loving partner of over 20 years, Carol Steward; her children, Amy (William Connell) Steward and Erin Pollay; and her grandchildren, Derek Ward and Brooklyn Pollay.
John leaves behind many beloved cousins, as well as several cherished pets.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, 3325 Winton Road South, with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:15 PM. For those unable to attend CLICK HERE to view the livestream of the service. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Lollypop Farm or an animal shelter of your choice.

My dear friend......I will miss you a lot. We worked together and laughed together. Will miss your kindness, sense of humor and love for all animals and our banter during the football season.
Rest in peace, I'm sure I will hear from you now and then.

my heart is broken, I loved John as my brother for over 50 yrs.He visited me two weeks ago.same old John happy and joking, he was fine and happy.May he rest in peace,praying for Kathy and Carol for there loss.Good by my friend.
