John "J.B." Hooper Obituary

John Bright Hooper, age 93, of McEwen, TN passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024. J.B. Hooper was born on August 24, 1930 in Erin, TN to Viola Boone and Ellis Hooper.
He worked for both TVA and Ebasco for many years. He was also a Navy Veteran. In 1955, He married Delma Lee Nesbitt, having two sons.
He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, working on cars, going drag racing and kicking it on the very same back roads that he grew up on.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Delma Lee Nesbitt-Hooper, and his sons, John Alan and Phillip Ray Hooper.
Left to cherish his memories is his grandchildren, Elias Alan Hooper (Katie) of Clarksville, TN, Hannah Pearl Hooper of Burns, TN, and Emma Agnes Hooper (Cheyenne)of McEwen, TN; his two great-granddaughters, Ivana Disney and Ophelia Upchurch-Hooper. J.B. is also survived by many loving extended family members, friends, neighbors and his cousin, Warren Patterson.
A visitation for J.B. will be on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Luff-Bowen McEwen beginning at 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and also on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at 12:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Nesbitt Cemetery in McEwen, TN.
