Hubbard - John J. "Jack" Palowitz, Jr., 83, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2024 at the Hospice House in Poland.

He was born September 5, 1940 in Youngstown, a son of the late John and Mary (Hetner) Palowitz. He graduated from Ursuline High School, and worked many years as a truck driver for Anchor Motor Freight delivering GM vehicles.

One of Jack's greatest passions was for all things sports, especially for the Boardman Little Spartans youth football organization. From the time his son began playing, he became a coach, and stayed on for 17 years. His dedication inspired his son to then carry on the legacy and become a coach himself.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, the former Patricia Colby; his son, John Palowitz, III of Hubbard; two granddaughters, Lydia Pari Palowitz and Marisa Pari Palowitz; and his former daughter-in-law, DeAnna Palowitz.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Malmisua.

Per Jack's wishes, there will be no services or calling hours. He will be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, material contributions may be made to either to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 74924, Cleveland, OH 44194 or to the American Cancer Society, 525 North Broad Street, SR 46, Canfield, OH 44406 in his memory.
