John (Whitey) and I were inseparable best of childhood friends. He lived on 3rd Ave and I one block away on Bathgate.
We hung out at the Pitts brothers parking garage on 179th St. I can say it now, it is too late to get in trouble. Whitey & I borrowed keys from client parked cars at night and took non authorized joy rides. It was lots of fun, for us 12 year old kids.
Although we not been together for many years, I am saddened by this news.
Rest in peace my very good friend.
