Rutland – John J. Keefe
John J. Keefe, 86, died at his residence on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
He was born February 11, 1939 in Rutland, VT. The son of Roy and Bertha (St. Lawrence) Keefe.
John was a graduate of MSJ and entered into the United States Army after graduation.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.
John enjoyed sitting on the porch, doing his crosswords, He always loved to take his daily drives and he called it his daily Checkups, Checking in on everyone, he also enjoyed Swimming and Camping. Johns biggest hobby was the ability to make people laugh and smile, always the jokester.
He was employed by Rutland Plywood for many years retiring from there.
He is survived by his children Shawn (Tina) Keefe, Scott (Vicky) Keefe, Bryan (Angel) Keefe, Shannon (Chad) Keefe and his sister Janet Allen. Also by his 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents and his wife Rosanne (Lynch) Keefe and his brothers Robert and Ronald.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday June 27, 2025 at 10;30 A.M. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Maurice Monroe as the celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to The Development Office "Roof Replacement Fund", Mt. St. Joseph Academy, 127 Convent Ave., Rutland, VT 05701
Arrangements are under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home.
