JOHN FRANKLIN KIEPERT age 71 of Jefferson passed away peacefully at Alden Estates on May 13, 2024.
He was born on April 10, 1953 to Orville and Norma (Williams) Kiepert in Watertown, WI. He graduated from Johnson Creek High School and married Phyllis Purtell on September 5, 1987. John spent his career in sales, customer service and driving truck.
John was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and UW Badgers. He enjoyed tinkering with trucks, playing horseshoes and socializing with fellow patrons at the local establishment. In his down-time he enjoyed spending time with his beloved cats.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; children Rachel Hoeppner (Jerry) of Dousman, WI, Jessica Purtell-Prisk of Fort Atkinson, WI, Nicholas (Autumn) Kiepert of Fort Meyers, FL; grandchildren Brook, Alex, Ashlynn, Brody and Kasey; step-grandchildren Nicole, Jessica, Allissa and Collin; brother, James Kiepert of Freeport, IL; sisters-in-law Mary Kiepert of Jefferson, WI, Margaret Kiepert of Denver, CO and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Robert and Michael.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 12:00 – 4:00 PM at the Masonic Lodge in Jefferson.
