John P. Kulas, DDS., beloved husband of Paule ( Vandevoorde ) Kulas, passed away on April 25, 2025 at home after a multi-year battle with dementia. John grew up in San Antonio, Texas. After serving his military duty he returned to reside in New Orleans and go into private practice. John is survived by Damian Kulas, Phillip Kulas and Mary Therese Kulas-Smith and her husband Scott Hunter Smith. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Paule in 2006 and his father Leo Kulas, and mother Velma. On weekends he could be found continuing his love of the outdoors and marksmanship learned in the Navy, at the Saint Bernard Rifle and Pistol range. He was also a previous board member of L'Union Francais. A special thanks to Serenity Hospice for their support in his final months and special recognition to his dedicated daily caregiver, Tanya Urdaneta.
