John Christopher Kurts

John Christopher "Chris" Kurts, 66, of Douglasville, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Margaret Elizabeth Bailey Kurts and John Lewellyn Kurts of Indianapolis, Indiana. His life was filled with memories of laughter and joy.
Chris was always full of life, he always wanted "Good, clean, American fun". He had several hobbies - he enjoyed golfing, going to concerts, playing keno, grilling and painting. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Long weekend trips to Gatlinburg, Savannah, Panama City and many other locations, always brought him much happiness. Being surrounded by his loving and caring HARLEY FAMILY and the hair in the wind were great times he enjoyed with lots of pleasure. Once again, GOOD CLEAN AMERICAN FUN. He loved listening to all genres of music. Weekends were for football, he would be glued to the TV. GO RAIDERS and GO DAWGS! His friends and family lovingly described him as a dedicated family man, a jokester, a fighter and a survivor. Chris' memory will live on through his friends and family, who loved him dearly.
He is survived by his brothers, Keith Kurts of Douglasville and Ken (Jeralyn) Kurts of Indianapolis, Indiana; and girlfriend, Denise Eaves of Bremen.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Andrew's Golf Club, 8799 Edinburg Drive, Winston, GA 30187.
