John Lea Obituary
Mr. Lea, 81, of Crooked Creek Community, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, Lafayette, LA.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. John loved being outdoors, fishing, playing golf, poker, shooting pool, and was an avid sports fan. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia "Pat" Lea; one son, James Robert Lea; his parents, Rudolph and Lily Lea; his stepmother, Beatrice Lea; one brother, Rudolph Lea; and two sisters, Anne O'Brian and Dinah Defatta.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include two sons, John Patrick Lea of Crooked Creek Community, and Daniel Lea (Dani) of Alvin, Texas; one brother, James Lea (Laura) of Austin, Texas; one granddaughter, Nicole Hamilton; two grandsons, Preston Lea and Oliver Lea; and two great grandchildren, Collin Hamilton and Cadence Hamilton.
