John H. Long, of Fish Lake, passed away peacefully in his home on June 28, 2025. He was welcomed with open arms by wife, Audrey Long, and son, Troy Long, who preceded him in death.
John was born in La Porte to Raymond and Margaret Long. On September 16, 1967, he married Audrey Long of Fish Lake, Indiana.
He worked as an operator at Millburn Peat Moss & Allis Chalmers. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. John loved spending time with his family & going to Howard County Veterans' Reunion.
John is survived by his daughter, Kelly Wolff of Fish Lake, and son, Johnny (Wendy) Long of Rolling Prairie. He has 7 grandchildren: Christopher, Cortney, Cody, Matthew, Maverick, Brittani, and Jaiden; and 2 great-grandchildren: Kinsley, and Madison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret & Raymond Long; wife, Audrey Long; and son, Troy Long.
A Celebration of Life Service with Military Honors will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
A time of visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. Cremation will take place following the service.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Howard County Vietnam Veterans Organization, 8313 E. 400 S., Greentown, IN 46936.
