John Mancini, 68, of Wolcott entered into the gates of heaven in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday October 17, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Janet (Fasano) Mancini.
John was born July 14, 1954 in Waterbury a son of the late Donato and Rita (Mancini) Mancini. He was a graduate of Wilby High School Class of 1972. John started his career at the former American Brass in Waterbury for 25 years until it's closure. He retired from Bank of America in Farmington in the mortgage department in 2021 and in between worked as a realtor for a Century 21, Zip, and William Raveis Realty. John enjoyed golfing with his sons and he ran a kid's bowling league (ABEA) for over 20 years starting at Sena's in Waterbury and continued at Wolcott Lanes. He was a huge New York Yankee's and Green Bay Packer's fan and also loved watching UCONN basketball. He ran bus trips to the Meadowlands Arenas and Yankee Stadium for many years. He will be greatly missed by those who were blessed to know and love him.
Besides his loving wife of 46 years, he leaves; two sons, John Mancini Jr. and his wife Brittany of Wolcott and Michael Mancini and his wife Jacqueline of Plainville; two sisters, Mary Guerrera and her husband William and Margaret Philippi and her husband Steven all of Watertown; a brother, Daniel Mancini and his wife Lynn of Watertown; four grandchildren that he loved and adored, Luca, Leo, Mia and Greyson Mancini; a father-in-law, Nicholas Fasano of Wolcott; two aunts, Mary Salvatore of Waterbury and Antoinette Foschini of Middlebury; his brothers and sisters in law, Annmarie Palladino of Wolcott, Joseph Fasano and his wife Josephine of San Diego, CA, Nicky Fasano and his wife Eileen of Thomaston, Judy Biolo and her husband Brian, Maryann Plourde and her husband Jeff, and Louis Fasano all of Wolcott; and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: Funeral Saturday October 22, 2022 at 8:45 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to St. Michael Church, 62 St. Michael Drive Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m... Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours will be held Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
