John Marsh Obituary
Mr. John Edward Marsh was born on November 20, 1945, in Bear Creek, NC, the son of the late Clarence and Pauline Marsh, and departed this life on February 7, 2024.
John graduated from J.S. Waters High School. He went to work for Gold Kist Farms where he retired with over 25 years of dedi- cated service.
John was a devoted member of First Missionary Baptist Church. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan and always enjoyed watching football. There was nothing more he enjoyed in life than spending time with his grandchildren Lia and Jacob, who were the apple of his eye.
Brothers, Robert Louis Marsh and Clarence Marsh (Red), and sisters Moreace Frazier and Shirley Marsh Alston preceded him in death.
He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memories, his de- voted and loving wife, Rosa Marsh of the home, son Kermit Carter (Carmen), grandsons Jacob Carter and Tre Newell, granddaughter Lia Carter, sister Lorraine McIntosh (John), brother William Marsh, one aunt, Doris Price, special nephew Brandon (Smiley) Shamburger, many cherished nieces and nephews, a bonus sister and brother Willie Mae and JC Thomp- son, and a host of friends made throughout his life.
"The measure and impact of John's life goes far beyond these words. He was the epitome of a family man, whose love and memories will forever live our hearts. He will be missed dearly but we find peace in knowing he is at home with the Lord."
