John M Meny

John M Meny, 82, of Toms River died Monday, October 27, 2025 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Plainfield, he resided over 40 years in Alexandria Township, Hunterdon County before moving to Toms River in 2017. John was a long-standing member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 102, Parsippany, NJ. He worked over 20 years for Hydro Group, Inc. (formerly Layne-New York) as Safety/ HR Manager and later worked for Story Electric, Little Falls, NJ as a field superintendent. He served in the Navy during Vietnam ,1961-1965.

John and his wife loved sailing their boat, True Wind, in Barnegat Bay. He collected model trains and playing golf at the Oak Hill Golf Club in Holland Twp, NJ.

He enjoyed many wonderful years traveling to Walt Disney World and loved reading historical novels.

Surviving is his wife of 31 years, Marion A Meny, children Christopher Meny and his wife, Christine, Marie Elizabeth "Beth" Mitchell and her husband Bob, Colleen Brighton and her husband Jim, Jennifer Pasquale, Deborah Ruggerio and her husband Jeffrey; siblings Joseph and Gary Meny & Elizabeth Riopel and 8 grandchildren, Ashley, Tyler, Marc, Alex, Olivia, Sarah, Melissa, Anthony; 3 great grandchildren, Cole, Bryce, and Remington. Visitation is Saturday, 1-5 pm with a 2 pm service and Military Honors at 4:15 pm at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd, Manchester.
