John Molnar Obituary

John was born in Spangler, PA and was raised in Carrolltown, PA. He was drafted into the Army where he excelled in music and was assigned to the Army Marching band, playing the saxophone. He also served as Post News Editor and Post Theater Group Participant.
He then went to William and Mary College in Virginia. This led to a career in journalism. He started his career with the Johnstown Tribute and then moved to New Jersey, becoming a News Editor at the Morning Call and Herald News, and went on to cover State Government news for the Bergen Record.
He was elected President of the Pica Club, a newspaper organization in NJ. John was involved at the inception of news becoming electronic and was hired as News Editor for Trinex/Prodigy. He then worked for Lucent, Alpha Net, INS and a long time for British Technologies, where he was assigned to several countries to build network systems for various companies. Along his journeys he made many lifelong friendships.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl, his son Eric, and his life time partner Kathy.
He was predeceased by his son Evan.
He is also survived by a sister Jane, a brother Paul and many nieces and nephews.
John loved history, music, travel, holidays, and nature, especially birding.
He was loved and will be greatly missed.
