John Clinton "Clint" Morris, 68, of Phenix City, AL died at Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital, Phenix City, AL on Friday, July 7, 2023.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM (EST) Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. A private interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour at the funeral home on Tuesday.
Mr. Morris was born December 15, 1954 in Phenix City, AL son of the late Solon "Samuel" Morris, Jr. and Helen Juanita "Nita" Ingram Morris. Clint, an Auburn University accounting graduate, retired as Controller for Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital. "Big Daddy" as he was known by many loved ones, enjoyed traveling with family and friends while firmly positioned in the driver's seat. His travels took him coast to coast as he explored nature, natural wonders, man-made marvels and following his alma mater's football team. War Eagle! Clint was a selfless patriarch always putting family before himself and made the most of his retirement at vacation homes in the Outer Banks and Hilton Head Island playing golf with family and friends. His advice, positive attitude, helpfulness and wittiness will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents, Solon "Samuel" Morris, Jr. and Helen Juanita "Nita" Ingram Morris.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Robin Adams Morris; two sons, John Clinton "Jake" Morris, II (Nataly) and Josh Kennington; one daughter, Jenna Vandyke (Otis); two brothers, Robert Earl Morris (Mary) and Samuel Charles Morris (Angie); best friends, brother and sister in-law and traveling partners Rick and Vickie Barr; three special grandchildren, Joshua Kennington, Camden Perryman and Ty Kennington; several other family members and friends.
