John H. Most

John H. Most, age 93, of Marshallville, died Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Orrville Pointe JAG Healthcare in Orrville, following a period of declining health.
John was born on August 21, 1929, in Massillon, Ohio, to John and Helen (Ott) Most. His father, John, died before his birth. His mother was remarried to Leo G. Tope when he was 10. He attended Dalton High School. He married Margie A. Medve on October 6, 1956, in Orrville. Margie survives.
50 years ago to this year, John founded Most Paving Company and ran the company for 30 years, retiring in 2003.
John was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, where he was a fourth degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, gardening, and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren especially during the holidays.
Surviving are two sons, Mike (Jennifer) Most of Marshallville, and John H. (Wendy) Most III of Wooster; daughter, Barbara Specht of Akron; eight grandchildren, Erin (Ben) Graham, Megan Barnes, Meredith (Malcolm) Robinson, John (Dea) Most, Michelle Most, David (Erienne) Specht, Nicholas Most and Alex Most; 4 great grandchildren; and 2 step-brothers.
He was preceded in death by son, Steven Scott Most; mother Helen S. Tope and step-father, Leo G. Tope.
Friends may call on, June 3, 2023, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Services will be held at 12:30 pm on June 3, 2023, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 541 Spring Street, Orrville, with Fr. Paul Wysocki officiating.
