Chester M. Mull Jr.

Chester M. "Chet" Mull Jr., age 67, of Rittman, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Akron City Hospital, following a period of declining health.
Chet was born on December 31, 1957, in Akron, to Chester and Patricia (Kimble) Mull. He was a 1976 graduate of Springfield High School and attended The University of Akron. On February 13, 1982, he married the love of his life, Beth Anne Gourley, in Greensburg, Ohio. She survives.
For 42 years, Chet owned and operated Mull Iron in Rittman, remaining actively involved in the business he built and cared deeply about. He was a proud member of Ironworkers Local #17 in Cleveland.
Chet had a deep love for music, especially playing the drums, and enjoyed traveling with his family. He cherished his company and employees, as well as the many friends with whom he loved to play poker. Above all, family was at the center of his life-his greatest joy came from time spent with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Beth, he is survived by his mother, Patricia Mull of Wadsworth; son, Chester M. (Patricia) Mull III of Rittman; daughter, Cynthia (Jon-Michael) Jackson of Rittman; grandchildren, Jonah, Camryn, Emily, and Charlotte; sister, Kimberly Baker; and brother, William Mull.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chester M. Mull, Sr.
A celebration of Chet's life will be held November 15, 2025, from 2:00pm to 6:00 pm, at The Galaxy Restaurant Banquet Room, 201 Park Center Drive, Wadsworth (Casual attire appreciated). A private burial of cremated remains will take place at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Doylestown.
In lieu of flowers, those attending are invited to bring a donation or warm-weather clothing item to the celebration. These donations will be provided to local schools in honor of Chet's passion for helping others in the community.
