John R. Muth, age 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Born on February 8, 1947, in New Brunswick, he was the beloved son of the late John J. and Elsie (Katy) Muth. John grew up in New Brunswick before making North Brunswick his home, where he lived for many years.
For over 40 years, John dedicated himself to the New Brunswick Board of Education as a custodian, known for his hard work and commitment to the community. Above all, he was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Genevieve Muth, in 2017.
He is survived by his son, John Muth; his daughter, Amy Muth; his sister, Lisa Muth; his granddaughter, Corinne Tierney; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
A memorial gathering will take place at Gleason Funeral Home in North Brunswick, located at 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick, NJ 08902 on Friday, October 25th, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, followed by memorial prayers at 4:00 PM.
John will be laid to rest alongside his wife at Franklin Memorial Park at a later date.
